It’s almost time for the big game!  If you’re like many, you’re watching the Super Bowl commercials and snacking on lots of food.  And then there’s the football game.  We want you to stay healthy while indulging in those snacks so keep these tips in mind:

• Stay home and avoid gatherings if you are sick.
• Wash hands before and after cooking, before eating, and after using the restroom.
• Serve food promptly or divide into smaller portions and refrigerate until ready to reheat and serve.
• Refrigerate or freeze perishable foods within two hours, and discard perishable food left out longer.
• If cooking at home, use a food thermometer to make sure food reaches a safe internal temperature.
